Suggested plan for Fairview By-Pass

Traffic presently crowding Circular Drive, Kragga Kama, Willow Road and Willam Moffat can be reduced by building a Fairview By-Pass road. Subject to traffic count projections and and a matching plan for Newton Park, this should be planned as a 4 lane arterial and access to it should be limited by arterial rules.

Suitable loops to engage William Moffat, the 3rd Ave dip and the Moffat Park Center would need to be designed. Options are available

At Circular Drive an indirect turn loop arrangement can be installed to remove the need for a traffic signal at that point

A bridge would need to be built over the ravine behind the Moffat Center

As a bridge over the ravine would probably be an expensive item compared to "looping" the existing flyover into the system, an interim arrangement of employing the existing flyover could be adopted, to gain an immediate benefit from it.
